Do you need a pressure regulator?Β

If your water supply runs between 15–30 PSI β€” common with gravity-fed tanks, long supply lines, or low-pressure wells β€” you're already within the R-Wide's operating range and can connect directly without a regulator. The regulator is only needed when your supply pressure exceeds 30 PSI (most municipal water runs 40–60 PSI).Β

Not sure what your pressure is? Check your water supply here before ordering.

R-Wide: 30 PSI

Maintains a constant 30 PSI output pressure for Sumi R-Wide tubing, regardless of incoming line pressure. The R-Wide's mist spray pattern, coverage width, and precipitation rate are all pressure-dependent β€” running above or below the rated operating pressure produces uneven distribution across your beds.

Required for any mainline connection where supply pressure exceeds 30 PSI. Includes a 3/4" to 1" reducer bushing, allowing the regulator to connect to both 3/4" and 1" threaded irrigation lines. Install downstream of your shutoff valve.

You do not need this regulator if you are using the Sumi Garden Hose Connector.

MARK II: 12 PSI

Maintains a constant 12 PSI output pressure for Sumi Mark II tubing, regardless of incoming line pressure. The Mark II operates at significantly lower pressure than most irrigation systems supply β€” without a regulator, excess pressure disrupts the spray pattern and wastes water.

Required for any mainline connection where supply pressure exceeds 12 PSI. Includes a 3/4" to 1" reducer bushing so the regulator connects to both 3/4" and 1" threaded irrigation lines. Install downstream of your shutoff valve.Β

You do not need this regulator if you are using the Sumi Garden Hose Connector.

Due to manufacturing variability, parts may not exactly match photos, but are fully compatible. Mark II and R-Wide components are not interchangeable with other tubing. Images for illustration only.
